Friars Gate Archers has access to two field sites with differing types of terrain.

The venue at Fletching offers a superb facility, heavily wooded with two attractive lakes comprising over 5 acres in total area. Layered foam targets have been purchased for all individual targets at Fletching which are permanently established at the venue. We also have a permanent 24 shot 3D course at the same venue.

The Friars Gate Farm course is again heavily wooded though much more rugged in its terrain than Fletching offering a truly challenging course. Wellingtons are essential for the site.
Accordingly we have established Field Archery Associate status memberships within FGA designed to attract other Archers who whilst belonging to other local clubs are keen to regularly participate in Field Archery throughout the year.

Field Associate membership

Field Associates will be able to use our field venues at Friars Gate Farm (big game round) just outside Crowborough which is available from October through to the end of March and our Fletching site ( Foresters round) every three weeks, all year round, and Tuesday evenings during the summer. Field Associate membership is available to existing Archery GB members at £50 per annum. (Juniors £30). This membership does not include free entry to the various open competitions that the club holds.
